Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Rite (package: dev.rite.app) handles data.

Effective date:

1 Privacy principles

  • No ads in the app.
  • No sale of personal data.
  • No collection of precise location.
  • AI coach does not receive habit names, notes, or user-written personal text.

2 Data we process

Account & authentication data

Email, auth user id, and sign-in metadata (if you sign in).

Habit and completion data

Habits, completion history, streak information, and settings are stored primarily on-device. If cloud features are enabled, selected account-linked data may be synced.

Diagnostics and stability data

Crash diagnostics and technical metadata are collected through Firebase Crashlytics to keep the app stable.

Purchase and subscription metadata

Subscription status and entitlement metadata may be processed through RevenueCat and app stores.

Optional integrations

If you enable them, Rite may access Health Connect/HealthKit signals to support habit automation and insights.

3 AI coach data contract

The AI coach receives anonymized, categorical, numerical context only (for example: completion rates, streak lengths, day-of-week trends). It does not receive raw habit names, notes, or personal free text.

AI responses are generated via supported providers (for example Anthropic and fallback providers) under this same contract.

4 Why we process data

  • Run core habit tracking features.
  • Provide reminders, widgets, and progress insights.
  • Generate coach insights from anonymized behavioral signals.
  • Detect crashes, improve reliability, and prevent abuse.
  • Manage subscriptions and entitlements.

5 Third-party processors

  • Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Crashlytics).
  • Google Play services and Google Sign-In (if used).
  • RevenueCat (subscription management).
  • AI model providers used for coach response generation.

These services process data under their own privacy terms.

6 Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only with processors needed to provide app functionality, security, analytics, and purchases.

7 Data retention

  • On-device data remains until you delete it or uninstall the app.
  • Cloud-linked data remains while your account is active, unless deletion is requested.
  • Crash and technical logs are retained per provider retention schedules.

8 Your controls

  • Delete account data using the in-app delete flow, if available.
  • Request deletion through Delete Request Form or Data Deletion.
  • Disable optional integrations (notifications, health sync, coach features).

9 Children

Rite is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required by local law). If data is submitted in error, request deletion through support.

10 Security

We use standard technical and organizational safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

11 Policy changes

We may update this policy over time. Updated versions are posted at this URL with a revised effective date.
